An Introduction

In Internet terms The RAXHaven is very old. The concept of this website has been around for nearly 16 of the web’s 20 years. Though it was dormant for the last few years it has now returned to retake its place in a very different world.

The idea of The RAXHaven is not that it is merely a webpage, but an ever evolving commentary of life in the digital age. It, like its author, have aged and matured however the site still represents a lifestyle of information workers around the world. We didn’t simply choose this profession because it was easy, or because we could make a lot of money. We chose to do what we do because deep inside we’ve always loved it and we are good at it.

If I were to say that my true calling was to work in IT then I would also say that writing about technology, for better or worse, is my passion. This website has always been a place where I could comment freely on news and issues while pulling no punches nor sparing no feelings. Much like my long time favorite automotive commentator Peter M. De Lorenzo and tech journalist John C Dvorak I offer you the unvarnished high-octane truth. No apologies.

That said, i also cover other topics including what I like to call my analog life. I do this for a lot of reasons but primarily to show that not all IT people are boring and that we do some pretty cool stuff when we aren’t “fixing computers.” So sit back , grab a cold beer and hang on for the ride!
